The price is per piece—the package includes a single hex dumbbell (starting at CHF 3.-). Two-handed exercises like bench presses, rows, or bicep curls are done with two dumbbells; to do this, simply set the quantity to 2 at the top. One-armed exercises and farmer’s walks can also be done with just one.

Hex Dumbbells are available in weights ranging from 1 to 60 kg. Up to 10 kg in fine increments (1, 2, 2.5, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 7.5, 8, 9, 10 kg), and in 2.5-kg increments up to 60 kg. You can select each weight above as a separate option—availability of individual weights may vary.

Yes. The cast-iron core with a thick rubber coating is designed specifically for this—it can withstand being dropped hard while protecting the floor—but you should still be careful at home. New rubber dumbbells may give off a slight rubber odor at first—this is normal and will go away after a few weeks. If you’re sensitive to the smell, ventilate the workout area during the initial period or quickly wipe down the dumbbells with a damp cloth.

For curls, lateral raises, and rotator cuff exercises, beginners usually start with 4 to 8 kg; for rows, goblet squats, or lunges, they start with 10 to 15 kg. Note: For weights up to 5 kg, the handle has a diameter of 28 mm; for weights of 6 kg and above, the handle has a diameter of 34 mm. For two-handed exercises, purchase the weights in pairs.

The dimensions increase with weight: the 5 kg version measures approximately 28.5 cm in length, the 10 kg version about 31 cm, the 20 kg version about 36.5 cm, and the 40 kg version about 43.5 cm.
