What kind of training is the 1–10 kg dumbbell set suitable for?
The 1 to 10 kg range covers everything that involves controlled movement and higher repetitions. This includes shoulder and rotator work, curls, lateral raises, lunges, and circuit training, among other things. Physical therapy and rehab practices use the fine gradation for gradual load building. How much space does the set need in the room?
The rack takes up 48 cm in width and 42 cm in depth, which is less than half a square meter of floor space. At a height of 127 cm, the heavy pairs are at the bottom and the light ones at the top. It weighs 21 kg itself and can support up to 250 kg—meaning the 110 kg dumbbells utilize just over half of its capacity. Allow about one meter of clearance in the front so you can comfortably take the pairs out. Because of this, the vertical format also fits into alcoves where a horizontal rack wouldn't fit.
What are the dumbbells made of and how do they stay together?
Each dumbbell has a solid cast iron core with a rubber coating over it. The rubber cushions the impact when put down, protects parquet flooring and tiles, and keeps the noise level down. The handle is chromed and knurled, which protects against corrosion and sweaty hands. The diameter increases with the weight: up to 5 kg it measures 28 mm, and from 6 kg onwards it is 34 mm. The weight is embedded in the head, so you won't grab the wrong level in the gym circuit. Due to its design, there is no mechanical part that could come loose.
