Competition kettlebell made of cast steel - precise and durable

The competition kettlebell made of solid cast steel complies with the international competition standard. Regardless of the weight, both the size and the grip always remain the same, which is important for handling during competitions, as this means that every weight can be gripped in the same way. The flattened underside prevents unintentional rolling.

Available in weight levels from 4 to 32 kg, the color coding enables quick identification of the weights. The robust cast steel construction guarantees a long service life and is ideal for intensive exercises such as kettlebell swings, snatches or cleans. Perfect for anyone looking for precise and reliable kettlebells for their training.

Product questions

Frequently Asked Questions about the Competition Kettlebell

Is the price per piece or for a set?

The price is per piece — the delivery includes a single competition kettlebell (starting from CHF 40). For most exercises like swing, snatch, or goblet squat, one bell is enough. You only need two identical weights for double exercises like double jerk or long cycle — in that case, set the quantity to 2 above.

What distinguishes the competition kettlebell from a cast iron kettlebell?

The competition kettlebell is made of cast steel and has the same size and handle for every weight—an 8 kg and a 32 kg ball are the same size. Cast iron models like the Kettlebell Cast Iron or the variant with a rubber coating grow with the weight and are cheaper, but less consistent in handling.

Why is the uniform size important?

Because your technique stays the same with every weight: The kettlebell always rests in the exact same position on your forearm, whether it is 12 or 24 kg. This allows you to increase the weight without having to relearn the snatch, clean, or jerk — the decisive advantage in kettlebell sport and technical, high-repetition training.

What weights are available?

The competition kettlebell is available in 12 increments from 4 to 32 kg: 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20, 24, 28, and 32 kg (up to 20 kg in 2 kg increments). You can select each weight above as a separate option—the availability of individual increments may vary.

Are the kettlebells color-coded?

Yes, every weight has a fixed color according to international competition standards — about 8 kg pink, 12 kg blue, 16 kg yellow, 24 kg green. This way you can recognize the right kettlebell immediately, and the colors match those at competitions and in other gyms.

How thick is the grip and who is it suitable for?

The handle has a uniform diameter of 33 mm across all weights (104 mm circumference) — competition standard. The rather slender, consistent handle is ideal for high repetitions, snatches, and single-arm athletic exercises. Those who do many heavy two-handed swings might sometimes prefer the thicker handle of a cast-iron kettlebell.

What material is it made of?

Made of solid cast steel. To ensure the size remains the same for every weight, lighter balls are engineered accordingly on the inside—the robust steel construction is durable, rust-resistant, and withstands intensive swings, cleans, and snatches for years.

Can I drop the kettlebell?

Cast steel is robust, but the Competition Kettlebell is not rubber-coated. On hard floors, dropping it hard can damage tiles or parquet — and the paint on the bell. Set it down with control and, for heavy sets, place a suitable Floor Underneath.

Who is the Competition for — do I need it at home?

It is worth it if you train technically, increase weights systematically, or are heading toward kettlebell sport. For pure home fitness without competitive ambition, a cheaper one will do Cast iron kettlebell Exactly — the competition pays off primarily because of the uniform handling.

Is the kettlebell stable and how big is it?

Yes. The bottom is flattened so it won't roll away. All weights uniformly measure around 28 cm in height and 21 cm in diameter — the ball sits securely for Renegade Rows, push-ups, and for setting down between sets, regardless of the chosen weight.
