With the bar (20 kg) and all plates (70 kg), you load up to 90 kg. For many beginners and intermediate lifters, this is enough for squats, deadlifts, or bench presses for quite a while. Later on, you simply expand with additional bumper plates — the bar holds up to 450 kg.

Yes. The bumper plates are fully rubberized and drop-resistant—made precisely for that. The barbell is also drop-resistant. This allows you to lower the loaded barbell in a controlled manner after deadlifts or Olympic lifts without damaging the bar or the floor. For frequent dropping, a cushioned drop zone is recommended.

The bumper plates have an inner diameter of 51 mm and fit all standard Olympic 50 mm bars — including the one included. They are not suitable for 30 mm bars. Within the 50 mm standard, you can combine the set with other plates and bars at any time.

The bar weighs 20 kg, is 220 cm long and has a 28 mm grip with knurling marks. It runs on needle bearings that provide smooth rotation for dynamic movements in powerlifting and Olympic weightlifting. Made of spring steel, it has a load capacity of up to 450 kg and is drop-test capable.

The Lock Jaws are quick-release fasteners that secure the plates on the bar. They clamp tightly with a lever and prevent the weights from shifting during dynamic exercises. Two pieces are included in the set — one for each end of the bar.

For lowering the loaded bar, a cushioned surface is recommended. Ideal is a robust Connect+ Floor or for heavy, repeated lowering, a Weight Lifting Platform. This protects the floor and the bar and keeps the noise down.
