The most common misconception: „Lite“ refers not to the technology, but to the handlebars. The frame, magnetic brake, belt drive, pedals, and certified power measurement are the same as in the larger models. The handlebars can only be adjusted in height, not in length — which results in the range from 150 to 188 cm. If you are taller than 188 cm, the CHF 100 surcharge for the model with 4-way handlebars is worth it.
The bike weighs 40 kg and stands on four points. On parquet, laminate, or vinyl, a protective mat is worthwhile. The Floor protection mat 160 × 87 cm for cardio equipment completely covers the footprint of around 130 × 66 cm.
What kind of training is the Keiser M3i Lite suitable for?
The M3i Lite is built for watt-based endurance training where the numbers have to be right. Typical applications include guided group cycling classes with projection, FTP tests and intervals for home training, foundational winter blocks, the cycling off-season, as well as rehab and longevity sessions. In studios, multiple bikes run in parallel via the M Series Group App. At home, a smartphone on the media tray is all that is needed. Further types of use are possible without any conversion because the display transmits its data openly.

The Lite uses the same measurement technology as the M3i, which was the first indoor bike to receive EN-957-10 certification for accuracy and safety. To ensure this, Keiser tests a randomly selected production bike on a test bench every day. That is the difference between an estimated and a measured power output in watts. For FTP tests and comparing multiple bikes in a studio, this is precisely what matters. Without this foundation, zone percentages are just decoration.
What does the M Connect display show while driving?
The M Connect display shows watts, cadence, kilocalories, time, and distance on a black-and-white LCD, plus heart rate, gear, and odometer. Via Bluetooth, it transmits to multiple devices simultaneously—such as a projection system in the studio and parallel to your phone. You start and stop intervals using the gear shifter without touching the display. On this model, a color zone indicator is provided by the app, not the display itself.
