The most common misconception: Studio and Studio Plus both cost CHF 2,790.– with us. The only difference is the handlebars. With the Studio, you only adjust the height, while with the Plus, you also adjust the length. The Studio therefore covers heights from 150 to 188 cm instead of 147 to 213 cm. If nobody over 188 cm rides with you, this makes no difference to your training and data. A tablet, a screen, or a class subscription is not included with either of them.

The bike weighs 40 kg and stands on four points. On parquet, laminate, or vinyl, a protective mat is worthwhile. The Floor protection mat 160 × 87 cm for cardio equipment completely covers the footprint of around 130 × 66 cm.

For which type of training is the Keiser M3i Studio suitable?

The M3i Studio is built for zone-based endurance training, where watts and heart rate are the control variables. Typical applications include, among others, guided group cycling classes with projection, FTP intervals for home training, endurance blocks in winter, off-season cycling, as well as rehab and longevity sessions using METs. In studios, multiple bikes run simultaneously via the M Series Group App. At home, a smartphone on the media tray is sufficient. Further types of use are possible without any conversion because the display transmits its data openly.

What does the Studio Display show while driving?

The studio display shows watts, cadence, kilocalories, time, distance, heart rate, and the selected gear from 1 to 72. In addition, there are four intensity modes: speed, FTP zones in five, six, or seven levels, heart rate zones, and METs. The zone appears as a color with a progress bar. So you can see whether you are riding at the lower end or the upper end of your zone. The display area is 86 percent larger than the M Connect display of the M3i and M3i Lite models.

How does the M3i Studio ride compared to a flywheel bike?

The design is engineered for precision, not brute force. The resistance is magnetic, without a felt brake and without a friction point. The flywheel is positioned at the rear and is deliberately kept light. Anyone switching from a heavy flywheel bike will notice this immediately: the pedal stroke carries less momentum of its own and reacts more quickly to every change in wattage. This is precisely why intervals can be hit cleanly. Anyone looking for the heavy, rolling baseline rhythm will feel the difference clearly. The gear is selected by hand using the lever, in 72 steps.

What is included in the scope of delivery?

Included are the bike, the Studio Display, combination pedals with an SPD click system and toe cages, saddle, media shelf, bottle holder, stretch pads, and transport wheels. A screen, tablet, or heart rate monitor is not included. The display operates independently and does not require an additional device to display wattage and cadence.

How much space does the bike need and how heavy is it?

The footprint is around 130 × 66 cm, and the height is about 112 cm. The weight is around 40 kg. This makes it the lowest and lightest bike in the series with a color display. Two transport wheels at the front allow it to be tilted and pushed by one person. Plan for about 60 cm of clearance for getting on and off.

For what height and weight is it designed?

The V-frame covers heights from around 150 to 188 cm, and the maximum user weight is 160 kg. The saddle can be adjusted in height and length, and the handlebars only in height. Anyone over 188 cm tall or who wants to adjust the handlebar length needs the Keiser M3i Studio Plus with 4-way handlebars.

How loud is the bike, and how much maintenance does it require?

The drive operates without frictional contact, which is why the bike remains very quiet even at a high cadence. The resistance is generated magnetically; there is no brake pad to adjust. The Poly-V belt is self-tensioning and requires no adjustment. For inspection, the drive is accessible via eight screws.

Does the M3i Studio work with Zwift and other apps?

Yes, the Studio Display transmits power, cadence, speed, and heart rate via Bluetooth CSCS, CPS, and FTMS as well as via ANT+. Zwift, Strava, and comparable apps recognize the bike directly as a power source. Important: The resistance is not controlled by the app. You select the gear manually using the lever.

Do I need clip-in shoes for training?

No, the combination pedals have two usable sides: one with an SPD click system, and one with a cage for regular athletic shoes. So you can start riding right away. Cleated shoes provide more control on the upstroke at high pedaling cadences. The SPD tension can be adjusted on the pedal.

Does the display need batteries or an electrical outlet?

Neither: A generator in the pedal drive produces the electricity, and a supercapacitor stores it. There is no power cord and no battery replacement. This is one of the differences to the Keiser M3i with M Connect Display, which requires two AA batteries.

Is the bike suitable for multiple people in the household or in a class?

Yes, as long as everyone is between roughly 150 and 188 cm tall. Saddle height and saddle length can be adjusted in seconds using rotary knobs, without tools. The display saves your profile of FTP, max HR, and weight, and resets the ride metrics after each session.

When is the bike available?
